Community Farm Clinics

Our farm clinics are held on Saturdays. We go to a different village each month and treat as many animals as possible. We vaccinate, deworm and administer flea and tick treatments as well as any other field treatable conditions. We see a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and even pet rats! If any of the animals have serious illnesses or injuries they can’t be addressed at the clinic we bring them back to the LSPCA veterinary clinic for further treatment. All services are free of cost.

The farm days have been hugely successful and we usually see hundreds of animals on any given clinic day. These days tend to be very busy so volunteers are needed to manage crowds, register and help treat the animals. It is normally seen as a fun day but no doubt a life-saving day for many of the animals that come to the clinic.
