Millions and thousands reached with rabies prevention messages.

News just in regarding our rabies education programme.  We are thrilled to know we have reached millions of people during our extended education campaign on rabies.

LSPCA not only vaccinates 70% of Lilongwe’s dog population, our Rabies education team trains teachers to deliver lessons on dog bite prevention and what to do if bitten by a dog to learners at all government primary and secondary schools in Lilongwe.  We reached 183 353 learners this year!

Our radio programme on rabies prevention reached 14.8 million people who tuned in to the rabies awareness and prevention broadcasts on our national media channels.
A special thanks to the Lilongwe District Education Manager and the Education Divisional Manager, Drs Sineta and their committed teams to help spread the message.  Together we can stop the spread of rabies!
