Pet Sitting

Are you going on holiday and don’t know what to do with your furry family members? We will take care of your pets while you are away.One of the greatest worries for pet owners is who/how will their pets be looked after while they are away on holiday. With no kennels or cattery available in Lilongwe, the LSPCA has set up a ‘pet-sitting’ service where your pets are looked after in the comfort of their own homes.

We have varying levels of care:

Bronze Cover MK2500 / week – Mainly for peace of mind. You leave our contact details with your gardener/cleaner to use in case of an emergency. The LSPCA will decide whether veterinary care is needed or not. If veterinary care is needed the LSPCA will cover all expenses and will be reimbursed upon the families return. Suitable foster care will be made available if required at MK2000 / day.
Silver Cover MKU12,000 / week – Includes all of the above plus three visits per week by an LSPCA Officer to check on your animals.
Gold Cover MK15,000 / week – Includes all of the above plus daily visits by an LSPCA officer, grooming and feeding.
Vet. Foster Care MK20,000 / week – Place your sick/injured pet at one of the LSPCA’s foster parents or at the LSPCA Veterinary Clinic whilst you are away. Ensure that they are well looked after and receive the veterinary care they need.

A package can be put together that suits both the owners and the pet’s needs. We will visit your property and feed and exercise your pet in the comfort of their own homes.Having your pets looked after in their own homes is much less stressful for the animal thereby ensuring their well-being and knowing that your pets are happy and cared for, ensures you in turn will have a great worry free holiday.

For those owners who are unable to have their pets looked after in their own home, the LSPCA has some very special people (foster carers) who will take your pet into their own home and look after them as one of their own while you are away on holiday. All you have to do is supply all of your pet’s normal food for the time you are away, plus their bedding and their favourite toys.
