World Spay Day and the Spay and Neuter Month-spans the whole of February 2012

World Spay Day

In recognition of the 46 countries that participated in February 2011, Spay Day—which takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February—has been officially renamed “World Spay Day.” Further, the month of February is now “Spay/Neuter Awareness Month.”

World Spay Day shines a spotlight on spay/neuter as a proven means of saving animals’ lives. Please join us once again by organizing an event to raise awareness of the importance of spay/neuter!

World Spay Day 2012 Pet Photo Contest

Your organization earned funding from the 2011 pet photo contest. In 2012, the photo contest will run during Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, from Feb. 1 – 29. This is about 2 weeks shorter than in previous years.

Get Started!

To pre-qualify to benefit from the pet photo contest, you must log in to your event organizer profile (your user name is LSPCA; please do not create a new profile), ensure your contact information is correct, and follow the instructions listed in the “Photo Contest Sign-up” section before January 13, 2012. These instructions include agreeing to this year’s photo contest eligibility requirements (English/Español).

IMPORTANT: it is your responsibility to ensure you have completed each of these requirements. Please take a moment to write the deadlines and tasks on your calendar. Check your spam folders for World Spay Day emails, and contact us with concerns well in advance of deadlines. Please do not be disqualified!

Thank you for your commitment to saving animals’ lives. We look forward to working with you during World Spay Day 2012!
